Terry P. Welsh, CFP®, CLU, ChFC, is the owner and founder of
Alaska Financial Associates. Along with a bachelor of science degree
from St. John's University, Mr. Welsh's credentials include:
- Certified Financial Planner® Certificant(CFP®)
- Charter Financial Consultant (ChFC)
- Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU)
Mr. Welsh founded AFA with a goal to fill the void in personalized
service in financial planning. As a Certified Financial Planner®
Certificant providing financial, retirement, estate and asset protection
planning services, his goal is to ensure that clients achieve their
objectives. Advice is offered only after taking into account the
individual circumstances of a client, and that advice may not be
limited to investments alone but may include all aspects of a client's
financial situation.
Mr. Welsh began offering financial planning services in 1987 after
graduating from the American College in Bryn Mawr, PA. He graduated
from the College of Financial Planning, Denver, Colorado, in July
1990.
A 25-year Alaskan resident and longtime philanthropist, Mr. Welsh has worked as a volunteer for Special Olympics Alaska (SOA) for two decades, holding a variety of positions, including president of the SOA board of directors.
